  • A Campaign by Sangram Sanstha

Zabardastit Kasli Mardangi? (ZKM) is a village-based campaign implemented by SANGRAM Sanstha and Vidrohi Mahila Manch in Sangli district, Maharashtra. The campaign addresses injustice, violence, and coercion by challenging distorted ideas of masculinity that normalise control, dominance, and emotional suppression. The campaign brings together women’s groups, youth, Panchayat leaders, government departments, colleges, and community institutions to collectively reimagine masculinity in rural spaces. At its core, ZKM challenges “Zabardasti” — force and coercion — and promotes responsibility, consent, emotional accountability, and dignity as central to healthy masculinity.
